Redispersible Polymer Powder（RDP）

Redispersible Polymer Powder, commonly known as RDP, is one of the most important polymer modification materials used in modern dry-mix mortars. It is produced by spray-drying polymer emulsions and can redisperse in water, recovering key functional properties of the original emulsion. Because of this, RDP is widely used in cement-based and gypsum-based building materials to improve adhesion, flexibility, crack resistance, abrasion resistance and overall application adaptability. For products that require stronger bonding and better long-term durability, RDP is often a core performance-enhancing component.

RDP is widely applied in tile adhesives, EIFS bonding mortars, base-coat mortars, repair mortars, self-leveling compounds, flexible skim coats and waterproof mortars. It helps form a more continuous and tougher polymer-modified structure after curing, which improves adhesion to substrates and enhances the system's ability to absorb micro-movements and resist cracking. This benefit becomes especially valuable in renovation work, thin-layer applications and demanding substrate conditions where formulation tolerance is critical.
